Our project goal is to create a platform for information and knowledge exchange on Corporate Venture Capital and Innovation in China.
The Sino Inno Cap project aims to be a knot for investors, companies, and interested individuals in the Venture Capital space. It fosters community building around cutting edge Venture Capital academic research, industry best practices and cross-cultural insights.
A better understanding of corporate venture capital (CVC) players, structures, processes and strategies.
The role of State-Owned-Enterprises (SOE) and their investment activities in China's innovation policy with a focus on key technologies.
The investment climate for international players in China, e.g. German or European CVCs investing in China.
Chinese CVC activities abroad, e.g., investments by Chinese players in German technology companies.
The use of CVC as a precursor to corporate acquisitions (M&A), as well as the use of CVC as a starting point for subsequent corporate acquisitions and knowledge transfer.
The concrete research results are to result in academic articles as well as in a practitioner study. Furthermore, the conception of case studies for university teaching and a conference within the China Europe Finance Summit framework is planned.
